Barbara & Michael Levin
The Levins are a family for whom volunteering, community, partnership and Judaism are cornerstones for life and daily living.
The Levins are a committed, involved and engaged family who grew alongside with their sons Elan and Benjamin at MJP since 2006.
The Levins are an asset as they serve as a model for the essence of partnership as a ground for rich and fulfilling relations between parents and school.
The Levins recognized their role as active partners in the school’s life. They became involved in parenting discussions, joined the core group of the MJP advisory board, and were part of the initial committee that envisioned and generated the culture of parents’ partnership at MJP.
They believe that MJP is a home for families, and as such it must create a visible and meaningful place for all the children and families that have graduated from MJP. To make that vision happen; Barbara took a leadership role in establishing and developing the Alumni Committee.
For the Levins, MJP is a life time of learning.

Muriel Lappin
MJP’s theme for this year is relationships, and the Judaic focus within it is the value of giving and receiving. This is where Muriel Lappin, MJP’s children’s Volunteer award recipient, is our lighthouse.
From the first moment when we met her in 2005, she gave of herself to our children in full presence and with a full heart. Through volunteering in the classrooms, working side by side with the teachers, nurturing and educating the children, being our welcoming person when it was needed, and supporting every event we ever have had, Muriel has become an integral part of our school.
Muriel represents the Jewish value of giving and receiving in a deep way. We recognize her as a pillar of support for MJP as we strive to realize our dreams for every child and family in the MJP community.
